Biographie
Authentic, smooth and captivating are words that characterize the singer-songwriter, Carrington Gaines. The Buffalo,NY native combines the sounds and messaging of Gospel music, R&B, Christian Contemporary, and Soul into one powerful blend of artistry. He made his debut in 2015 with "The Process - EP," and has released multiple singles and a full length album since then. Carrington has also collaborated with various worship movements, most notably Maverick City Music. In 2022 he received a GMA Dove Nomination for “Song of the Year” for co-writing “Promises” on Maverick City Music Vol.3. Carrington, made the decision to recommit himself to Christ after the death of his cousin in 2013. When asked how this event changed his life trajectory, he quoted, "Tragedy led to the cross, and the cross led to purpose”. By removing the limitations of genres, and using thought provoking lyrics with simple melodies to convey the message of the Gospel, as well as telling stories of greatest love he’s ever known Carrington hopes his music will encourage listeners to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus, as well as deeper relationships with the people they do life with.
