Biographie
Jaye Newton, born Jeffrey Wallace in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia, grew up surrounded by music, influenced by icons like Outkast, Lauryn Hill, and Tupac. His journey began in fourth grade at a school talent show, igniting a passion for performing. By seventh grade, he had already gone viral with a diss track, setting him on his career path. After building a buzz in Atlanta during his college years at Kennesaw State, Jaye opened for artists like Lil Wayne, Gunna, and Migos, while headlining his own shows and cultivating a dedicated following. In 2019, after releasing his sophomore album Just Pray For Me, he rededicated his life and music to Christ. This spiritual renewal opened doors for collaborations with Reach Records, including the 2021 single “Moshpit” with Anike & NotKylde and the 2023 track “Blessing” with Richdanfamous, along with writing work for Tedashii. Jaye continues to navigate both the Christian and secular music worlds, shaping his career with authenticity and purpose.
