MENOOSHA

Biographie

The music bug hit Menoosha when she performed as a child in an opening act choir for Kool and the Gang and Stevie Wonder, during their visit in Ivory Coast (West Africa) in 1988. She grew up honing her singing skills and then worked on establishing her art as a young adult in Germany and Europe. She later opened for her childhood idol Myriam Makeba and for Lou Bega. In 2010 Menoosha received two nominations at the MP3 awards and the BEFFTA awards in London, following the release of her first album 'Satellite Brown Chick'. Her R&B single 'Talk to me (Sweet Thing)' peaked at #14 of the UK Soul Charts in February 2017. In 2019, her single 'Touching my hair' hit the airwaves on the BBC on the Paul Miller Show.
