Biographie
My musical career been something of a journey, combining performing, composing & teaching. After years of exploring a wide variety of musical genres & cultures (living & working internationally) I have devoted my time & energy to recording & touring with many artists within the Christian Music industry. In 1989, following visits to the islands of Lindisfarne & Iona, I co-founded the musical project IONA with my friend & collaborator Dave Bainbridge. After two successful recordings (‘Iona’ & ‘Book Of Kells’) I left the project & returned to study (for a Degree in Music). During this period my main focus was on music performance and extensive research into the origins & relevance of Liturgical Music & Worship throughout history. Following my studies I took on extensive television & recording work and now devote much of my time teaching, adjudicating & directing various ensembles. I have been very privileged to tour & record with many Artists over the years, including The Band of HM Royal Marines, Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band, The Chequers, The Outfield, Graham Kendrick, Adrian Snell, Martyn Joseph, Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, Noel Richards, Barry & Batya Segal (Israel), Keith Getty & Stuart Townend. I have recorded four solo projects, six projects with Celtic Expressions Musicians and continue to collaborate & record various projects with my friend Dave Bainbridge, including ‘The Eye Of The Eagle’, ‘Life Journey’ & 'Celestial Fire'.
