Janice Gaines is a Stellar and Dove Award-nominated recording artist and. Her refreshing debut album, Greatest Life Ever, debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart when it was released in October of 2015 on Motown Gospel. The upbeat project, produced and co-written by the late GRAMMY® Award-winning hitmaker LaShawn "Big Shiz" Daniels, met critical acclaim for Gaines' powerful lyrics, memorable melodies and soaring soprano. After a near death childbirth experience and a bout with postpartum depression, Gaines’ second album, Lead Me – released in March of 2019 - serves as a tribute to her musical roots, where she found solace during a difficult time. On Lead Me, Gaines teams up with long-time music director and GRAMMY® Award winning producer/arranger, Dwan Hill to guide listeners on an 8-song journey through rootsy new compositions and reimagined classics. With a number of national television appearances and as a featured host on networks such as BET and TV One, Essence Magazine Online has called Gaines one of the industry’s new game-changers and “One To Watch”.
