James Stockstill was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. His musical journey started at age five with learning to play the piano and he trained classically up through age sixteen. In High School he began serving with Bethany's worship team and "Deluge" (an internationally recognized Christian band led by his brother Jonathan Stockstill) and quickly found a passion for singing, leading worship, and also songwriting. He went on to study at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK where he served in the ORU LIVE student touring team.  

James has written and recorded over 40 songs with Bethany Music since 2016 and has a desire to both equip the Body of Christ with songs and to make an impact in Christian Music.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Genae and 4 kids, cooking, and playing golf.
